UTC Aerospace Systems is looking for an enthusiastic communications professional who is ready to deliver a game-changing performance. We are a team of dynamic, highly strategic and creative communication mavericks on a path to build an industry-leading brand, while also creating a fun place to define trend-setting communications practices.

The Senior Associate, Public Relations & Communications for our Wilson, NC site is a key player in the communications team, with a principal focus to execute effective and meaningful communications.

The role works closely with business partners to develop and execute efficient, impactful and creative communication materials for site initiatives such as leadership messages, presentations, employee intranet articles, press releases, social media content, videos and multi-media campaigns as appropriate. A successful candidate will be effective in establishing solid relationships in order to support or initiate innovative practices throughout a cross-functional team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Associate, Public Relations & Communications will implement communications vehicles and activities across the Wilson, NC manufacturing site to foster dialogue and employee engagement.

  • Partner with business partners and the central communications teams to drive consistent communications across the manufacturing site.

  • Develop strategic communications plans to foster employee engagement.

  • Create timely, relevant, dynamic communications.

  • Produce creative communications such as videos, webcasts, infographics, and audiocasts on a regular basis to inform the employee population about progress against business strategies and goals.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of communications experience in a corporate environment.

  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including proficiency in preparing and presenting materials on behalf of executives, including PowerPoint skills.

  • Ability to work in a high-functioning, results-oriented, fast-paced collaborative environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills allowing for relationship-building with internal partners.

  • A good understanding of the relationship between internal and external communications, and traditional evolving channels.

  • Proven project management and organizations skills, and a demonstrated ability to produce quality outcomes.

  • Knowledge of AP style and principles of writing for web/rich media.

  • Graphic design and/or video production experience a plus.

  • Familiarity with social media channels/ web-based tools/posting relevant content.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and act with a sense of urgency.

  • Critical thinking and an ability to understand complex business issues to craft messages for targeted audience groups.

  • Marketing and communication support for trade show events.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in related field, Communications degree preferred
