This job was posted by : For more information, please see: A Care Coordination Representative is part of a team who represents Medova on a day to day basis providing excellent customer service to members and providers helping them to understand health benefits and prior authorization requirements. The majority of the day will be spent on the phone. Essential Functions:Provide excellent customer service through answering incoming calls, providing accurate information, complying with established telephone proceduresLog interactions in an electronic databaseDevelop and maintain an excellent working knowledge of policies in order to determine eligible benefits and approved networksProvide excellent communication with plan members and healthcare providers and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism both verbally and writtenProvide administrative and clerical support for the departmentAbide by HIPAA regulations and other privacy policies at all timesMaintain an exemplary attendance and tardiness record following established company guidelinesDemonstrate ability to work well with other departments and all Medova staff membersRespond in a timely and professional manner to written and oral inquiriesComplete other tasks, as assignedCompetencies:Customer ServicesCommunication Verbal and WrittenStress ManagementProblem-SolvingTechnical Acumen Required Education and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent1 year professional office experience Preferred Education and Experience:1 year health insurance/payor experienceMedical terminology Computer Skills:Microsoft OutlookMicrosoft WordData EntryMicrosoft Excel (preferred) Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:Full-timeMonday-Thursday 8am-5pm; Friday 8am-4pm (firm)At least a 30 minute lunch required daily Work Environment:Professional office environmentStandard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copier/scanner/faxTobacco free
