Quaker Chemical Production Blender in Waterloo, Ontario
The Blender is responsible for performing production duties to ensure product quality and on-time shipment to customers while adhering to high standards of quality, safety and customer service. In this role, the blender must accurately follow blending instructions which are provided prior to all blends. It is vital that the blender stays focused during the course of the blend due to cost of an error.
Conduct and fill out daily start and finish checklists.
Work with lead hand to coordinate daily blends.
Maintain equipment through proper use.
Pick raw materials for daily blends. Verify all raw materials before used in blends.
Properly fill out batch sheets.
Properly label finished products.
Draw off product into drums , pails and totes precisely. Prepare drums/bins, etc for shipment.
Strive to maintain a spill free facility and clean up spills of non-hazardous items.
Assist in maintaining a clean and safe facility through performance of general housekeeping duties.
Participate in cycle counts.
Assist others when required and work together as a team.
Follow all safety instructions
A high school diploma.
6 months of manufacturing experience preferred.
Tow motor experience and certification preferred.
WHMIS experience and a quick learner.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret batch sheets, work instructions, etc..
Demonstrate basic mathematical skills.
The associate will be required to perform these functions:
May be required to lift up to 50 pounds
May be required to stand for long periods and walk great distances daily
Routinely required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
May be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear
