POSITION SUMMARY

The Banquet/Catering Server is responsible to provide an Exciting environment and World Class Service by delivering Old-World Hospitality and Charm for restaurant guests. The Banquet/Catering Server will maintain a high standard of cleanliness according to the food service sanitation codes. He/She will have extensive menu knowledge, take guest orders, anticipate their needs, deliver the orders and tender payment. Focus on departmental goals of - Consistency, Quality and Sense of Urgency.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Be punctual to pre-shift meeting with a positiveattitude and openly participate

  2. Consistently provide excitement and deliver worldclass service, as well as live the company core values

  3. Comply with department standards, guidelines andobjectives to include adherence to all Food Service and Sanitation, OSHA andHazcom standards and guidelines

  4. Provide consistent high quality food and beverageservice to all guests dining in the restaurants by adhering to sequence ofservice standards completely and correctly. Utilize "upselling"techniques.

  5. Operate the Point of Sale System according totraining provided.

  6. Practice all alcohol awareness policies and procedures.

  7. Have complete knowledge and understanding torestaurant and bar menus.

  8. Participate in departmental cross-training exercisesto learn shoulder job duties such as Hostess or Bus Person.

  9. Clean as you go, clean spills immediately

  10. Use chemicals as prescribed and responsibly. Ensurethat all chemicals are in properly labeled containers

  11. Assist the supervisor in putting supplies awayadhering to the 5S Principles of ensuring that items are Sorted, Set in order,Systematically cleaned, Standardize and Sustained and dating all items with thecurrent date

  12. Conduct him/her in a gracious, kind and warm mannerthat creates a sense of fondness, as well as professional, courteous andresponsive manner, which reflects positively on the company and its corevalues.

  13. Performs other duties as may be assigned bydepartment and/or company management.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Must have ability to:

  • Accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematicalfunctions applicable to business needs.

  • Interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished inwritten, oral, diagram or schedule form

  • Resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

  • Be flexible to work all shiftsincluding holidays, nights, weekend hours and overtime as business needsdictate.

  • Be physically mobile withreasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack,crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas suchas confined spaces.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior food service experience preferred. Ability to read instructions and correspondence/memos. Attention to detail and accuracy. Maintain confidential information.

COMPLIANCERESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, each and every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Attendrequired training sessions offered by the casino.

  • Obtainrequired license(s).

  • Perform theduties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.

  • Take thenecessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter ingambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.

  • Haveknowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and proceduresrelating to the Team Member’s department.

  • Haveknowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gambling.

  • Consult withthe appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of writtenpolicies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with the stateregulations and Systems of Internal Controls.

  • Takes theappropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potentialviolations and report such instances to the appropriate levels ofmanagement.

  • Reports anyacts of wrongdoing on behalf of any Team Member that they have knowledgeof.
