Pinnacle Rehab Staffing Occupational Therapist OTR - Homecare - Full-time - High Pay in Waterbury, Connecticut

Seeking an Occupational Therapist (OTR) for an Occupational Therapy position in homecare in Waterbury and Naugatuck (it's a very small area for homecare). The Occupational Therapist does NOT need experience in the home health care setting- we are willing to train an occupational therapist as long as the Occupational Therapist has at least one year practicing in any setting. This Home Health Care Occupational Therapy (OTR) position is full-time benefited position (Health, dental, vision, paid time off, and 401K) or in lieu of benefits you can get a higher rate of pay. This home care agency is therapist-owned. We prefer a Full-time Occupational Therapist but may consider a part-time Occupational Therapist.

The Occupational Therapist is expected to do 30 patient visits in a week. Each home visit is about a half hour of direct patient care time, and due to the fact that all of the Occupational Therapy treatments will all be in just those few towns, travel will be minimal, therefore, the OTR will often be able to complete each treatment including travel in under an hour, and thereby get 40 hours of pay in less than 40 hours. Or the Occupatonal Therapist can work more than their 30 visits per week and get paid extra beyond their regular pay. The Occupational Therapist would make an extra $60-$65 per visit beyond the 30 visits per week, therefore the OT can easily make an extra 15,000+ per year ($60/visit x 5 extra per week x 52 weeks = $15,000). It is also a very flexible job- the Occupational Therapist makes their own hours. If you have an appointment or needs a half day, you just schedule your patients around it. We will also consider paying the high per diem rate in lieu of benefits and guaranteeing the Occupational Therapist as many hours as they want per week up to full-time, if the OT prefers.

Some of the Benefits of the Home Health Occupational Therapist position:

-Paid time off (The amount can be negotiated depending on whether the therapist wants more time off or more pay).

-Continuing education reimbursement

-Short-term disability

-Long-term disability

-Paid mileage

HOME HEALTH CARE OT JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Occupational Therapist must have a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy. The Occupational Therapist must have a license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state. The Occupational Therapist MUST either be a US Citizen or have your green card. The Occupational Therapist is NOT required to have homecare experience, however the Occupational Therapist must have at least a year of experience in any setting (In other words must have had your license for at least one year).
