Summary

Serve as the Point of Contact for the agency’s Telework Program.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate quality customer service skills by timely addressing inquiries from employees and management
  • Manage the telework policy in collaboration with the HR Policy and Compliance Division

  • Manage the Telework Program by sustaining its alignment with the Telework Enhancement Act, Federal/OPM/DOT regulations, and the FAA Telework policy

  • Gather and analyze telework data using OBIEE, CASTLE, and Excel

  • Develop and prepare reports regarding telework activity agency-wide, LOB/SOs, Regions, and as needed, using OBIEE, CASTLE, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Support other worklife programs and initiatives, both external and internal to the Washington DC Headquarters, as needed

  • Create memorandums, email messages, announcements, flyers, and other means of communication (internal and external use); coordinate with AHA and AOC on communication matters, when necessary

  • Develop and execute several large/small local/distant events such as worklife fairs, benefits fair, and other worklife related events; Provide onsite support for such events mainly from the Washington DC Headquarters with occasional travel to Regional locations

  • Establish monthly health/wellness calendar utilizing resources such as the Center for Disease Control and other sources; transform the information as awareness for the FAA workforce and its family members (when appropriate)

  • Provide administrative and project management support to the WorkLife Division

  • Explain the overall purpose and functionality of the WorkLife Division, as needed

  • Serve as the backup to the Emergency Planner

Other duties:

  • Serves on projects and programs contributing to national human resource policy development

  • Build strategic partnerships and collaborative relationships across Lines of Business (LOB) and Staff Offices (SO) in order to provide timely and effective support to FAA employees, supervisors, managers and executives

  • Supports the development of responses to DOT requests for shared service offerings

  • Supports the planning and evaluation of complex human resource management programs

  • Supports the development of new and innovative approaches to work processes that have national implications

  • Gathers, reviews, and interprets data and reports against SLAs / metrics and provides guidance to supervisors when adjustment is needed

  • Keeps current on legislative updates / changes

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the FV-J (FG/GS-14) level, all applicants must demonstrate one year (52-weeks) of SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE equivalent to the next lower grade (FG/GS-13) or pay band level (FV-I) in the Federal Service.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as that which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform duties of the position and is typically in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower grade in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE for the position include:

  • Establish and maintain strong internal and external customer relations

  • Track milestones and obstacles using a variety of office automation and software programs including Adobe Connect, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and KSN; and, provide comprehensive progress/after action reports to managers and customers
