Design and write control systems software for equipment.
Provide assistance in the creation, development and maintenance of Commissioning and Software documentation.
Provide support for the implementation, execution, start-up, field support and troubleshooting of NOV Control systems and tools.
Develop and de-bug Control System Software and Operator control interfaces prior to project or product release.
Train customers, and Field Service Technicians, on scope of equipment operation, troubleshooting and problem diagnostics.
Provide support for commissioning operations as required.
Diagnose and troubleshoot associated hardware.
Provide as required valid, clear and concise reporting on all verification and testing of software and associated systems during development and in the field.
Configure control systems hardware.
Design and configure network systems.
Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures. Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities
Ability to work with existing software and modify under Engineering constraints. PLC Programming Skills with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable and reusable. Knowledge of Siemens Programming environment is preferred. SCADA HMI Programming Skills to generate HMI screens for complex machinery while providing sufficient feedback for troubleshooting. Knowledge of Wonderware Intouch, Proficy iFix and Siemens FactoryLink is preferred. Ability to read/understand electrical schematics, wiring and logic diagrams. Provide cost estimates, schedules and Controls Project Documentation as part of a Project Team or as a Project Manager Interface and communicate with customers (both internal and external), vendors, I&C personnel and project engineers. Engineering degree preferred 5 years experience or equivalent work experience
