GDIT is looking for an IT Quality Control (QA)/Logistician in Miroslaweic, Poland supporting USFE-AFAFRICA for network reliability and survivability when simplifying the overall network topology to provide redundant capability to support the AFRICOM area of operations. Must have a current and active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI.
As the selected an IT QUALITY CONTROL (QA)/LOGISTICIAN , you will be responsible for the following (not limited to):
Serve as a site level telecommunications focal point, providing guidance p streamlined mission information, improving the quality and speed of decision making. Serving as a liaison between users and the 52 Comm Squadron IT specialists, provide procedural guidance, instructions and assistance in coordinating restoral of C4 (SIPR, NIPR, VOICE), ISR (RPA) and deployed communications systems with site communication focal points, organizations and technicians. Analyze outages and compare them to previous outages to troubleshoot complex problems and provide support in a manner that restores services and minimizes interruptions to the customer’s ability to carry out missions and operational objectives. Requires Top Secret Clearance. Consolidate orders for tools, parts and specialized comm equipment to repair or sustain systems. Ensure Quality Control role over external agency’s providing services or commodities to the government. No TDYs required.
Required tasks include:
Develop and manage communication status and mission information presentations to 52 CS/CFP and local site leaders and staffs. Provide mission updates and near-real time reporting of mission systems to the 52 CS/CFP during normal duty hours. As required after duty hours, reporting to the 52 FW Command Post for updates or critical recall actions.
Keep a running log of daily outages. Provide daily updates and monthly reliability rates on key systems and ckts to the 52 CS Maintenance Operations Center/Comm Focal Point.
During C4, ISR, JWICS, NIPR, SIPR, Telephony, VTC, mobile and tactical communications or cyber mission critical outages, provide updates and status to the 52 CS/CFP or the 52 FW Command Post.
Use Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI) notifications and Special Instructions to Communicators (SPIN-C) plans, alternate site agreements, and Periods Of Non-Disruption (PONDs) to fully coordinate activities with site officials and other site IT team members.
Generate monthly reliability/availability reports, highlighting deficiency and outage trends, uptime rates, and suggested plans of action.
Track and coordinate the requisition of need parts, test equipment, supplies and necessary unique communications systems support items to sustain site communications systems. Coordinate additional site C4/Comm requirements with the 52 CS/SCX shop via telephone and in writing.
Identify poor, unsafe, or at risk communications systems for evaluation, repair or reconfiguration to the 52 CS/CFP. Document those instances and submit to site or Detachment Commander for courtesy information.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must have a current and active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI
A bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR;
An associate’s degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;
A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;
11 years of recent specialized experience.DESIRES SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSExperience should include but is not limited to troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of various types of electronic communications equipment. Experience in quality control and production management desired. Capable of providing written or oral reports and presentations.
