Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Professional Service in CooperVision Italy.
- JOB SUMMARY *
In charge of Customer & Trade Marketing Activities in alignment with the Marketing Managers and Key Account Managers, and based on the agreed marketing Plan. Also in charge of specifically identified projects for which he/she will be fully accountable.
He/she flanks the Marketing Managers in creating, developing and flawlessly executing marketing plans within the commercial strategy approved by the management in order to achieve sales / commercial objectives. He ensures such plans reflect also Key Customers needs and fit into joint business plans and customer business plans, by working side by side with the relevant Key Account Manager and Sales Manager and frequently touching base with his/her key stakeholders at the customer’s
He /she seeks new business approaches and opportunities utilizing the best operational plans, services and tools to maximize sales and product performances and to delight our Key Customers
Fundamental part of the role is the willingness to look into processes, procedures, tracking systems etc with the purpose of fully own them and ideally to improve them.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS *
Develop and implements Key Customer marketing plans according to the market and the Customers’ needs in order to ensure sales, profit and market share are achieved. Informs development of overall the Marketing Plans, representing Customers’ key needs; focuses on flawless execution and constantly monitors and reports on results, finding best ways to convey data to senior management and key stakeholders. Proposes and implements effective actions for products and namely clients with the goal to reach the established commercial objectives, to increase our products competitive advantages and to satisfy customer’s needs. Ensure plans are resourced as far as Development, implementation and tracking of promotional materials, events and campaign in line with the agreed marketing strategy are concerned.
Looks after the flawless planning and roll out of quarterly Sales meetings, ensuring messages are duly communicated to the Sales Force and key accounts managers in the most effective way, through state of the art communication skills.
On a shared brief by Key accounts and Marketing Managers, works with Professional Service Managers to promote and develop CooperVision’s products and services at best based on profound knowledge of Customer’s needs
Liaise and coordinates with all other departments in order to ensure flawless initiative executions
Develops In Store campaigns that fit CooperVision strategies and also customer goals to promote sales of the different products and gain share with the customers in terms of new products listed or share in handlers. Measures the impact of the trade marketing actions and recommends changes for the future campaigns and marketing actions to exceed sales and market shares and support key customers achieving their own goals with us.
Play a key role in the monthly sales forecast process and recommend sales per channel/customer based on trends and available external/internal data, and organize planning to meet the European monthly deadlines.
Briefs and facilitates Professional service on tailoring and organizing internal/external trainings about products and features
Manages, negotiates, proposes new promotional material by channel/product/category
Contributes to design and precisely tracks A&P budget, and Market Direct Marketing Expenses
Ultimately accountable for and supporting colleagues in PRCOs as far as Key Customers are concerned
Provides input on participation to key customers’ events and foresees organization and / or participation
Ensure that all activities are in compliance with the medical device industry legal rules
Commercial travel requirements (including a percentage of time): 35% = flanking Key Account Managers and visiting key customers
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS *
/ KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES /
Computer proficient with Microsoft Office ( Photoshop, InDesign appreciated)
Ability to learn quickly and manage workload in a cooperative and demanding environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills are critical – must adhere to deadlines, multi-task and be able to prioritize.
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, proof reading and collating complex information into reports.
Effective project management skills
Marketing degree, Commercial acumen, number agility
Advanced skill in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to read and understand highly technical material.
Fluent in English, written and spoken.
Excellent Relational, Communication and Presentation skills, spoken and written. Able to influence and persuade.
Strong commercial acumen. A past experience in NKA, NAM or KAM, as well as in Brand management or trade marketing is strongly desired
Web-literate. Digitally Proficient. Strong experience in Customer and Consumer Promo
Entrepreneurial skills. Willing to learn, to innovate, to bring new ideas to the table.
Strong sense of Accountability and work ethics. Must be keen to walk the extra mile to deliver.

/ EDUCATION /
Required: University degree Economics, Statistics, or Marketing or Business Administration.
Preferred a Master in marketing specialization.
/ EXPERIENCE /
At least 7 years of experience in a NKA, KAM, Trade Marketing and Brand Management
