CAT Modelling Advisory and Support CAT Modelling Advisory and Support is a role within Impact Forecasting team, subsidiary of Aon Benfield, based in Prague office.

The global Impact Forecasting team of 90 members based in 5 offices around the world (Prague, London, Chicago, Singapore and Bangalore) consists of scientists and software developers dedicated to developing catastrophe models and risk management solutions for various natural and man-made perils including Wind storm, Flood, Earthquake, Terrorism and other.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Supporting ELEMENTS both internally (within Aon Benfield offices) and externally (Aon Benfield clients)

  • User support including trouble shooting, data preparation and interpretation

  • Install support for our products and advising on the acquisition and setup of relevant software and hardware environment

  • Advising on procedures for development and implementation of new models

  • Non-programming participation on development of new versions of the ELEMENTS platform and related tools

  • Close cooperation with other Impact Forecasting teams (potential for involvement in catastrophe model development, programming…)

  • Frequent internal and external customer communication

To apply for this offer, you should have:

  • Very good analytical thinking, common sense and independence

  • Very good communication skills (both written and verbal) English, Czech and other languages most welcomed

  • Personality suitable for a support position, stable and polite even under pressure

  • Strong team player willing to share skills and knowledge

  • Ability and willingness to learn

  • Very good knowledge of Excel and overall computing skills

  • Welcomed skills and knowledge include SQL databases, programming languages (e.g. Python, VBA)

  • Ability to cope with occasional need for rush work, flexibility and self-motivation

  • Willingness to travel
