Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Developer, with a background in radar technology, radar sensor processing and sensor fusion techniques, to join our Automotive Business Unit; this position can be located in either Villingen-Schwenningen or Munich.Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Design and development of radar sensor data processing algorithms optimized for embedded automotive hardware

• Evaluate the resource consumption and performance of the algorithms

• Work together with the test department to identify test data requirements

• Identify optimization possibilities in the developed algorithms

• Support the validation of the algorithms on embedded hardware

• Contribute to the development of hardware accelerators for the developed algorithms

• Interact with sensor vendors to identify possibilities for technology improvements and strategic partnerships

Job Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related discipline

• Several years of experience in the area of radar technology and radar sensor processing

• Experience with sensor fusion techniques

• Experience in the area of embedded software development

• Experience with MATLAB/SIMULINK

• Good understanding of the “C”/”C++” programming languages and optimization techniques

• Self-motivated team player with well-structured work method

• Strong team player with good spoken and written communication skills in German and English
