Overview

This role’s primary responsibility is to generate business leads and sell EMG’s suite of products and services to business owners in your area. We are looking for someone who is:

Bring your A-Game for this role. You will be expected to learn the ropes of the merchant services industry and generate sales leads and sell EMG’s suite of products and services to business owners in your area.

Responsibilities

  • Proactive account management by owning your accounts and managing your merchant portfolio

  • Generating sales leads through phone calls, prospecting, and other activities

  • Identify opportunities for product/service sales increases and expanded offerings

  • Act as knowledge-centered resource on products and services

  • Build relationships with your merchants––stop by with a cup of coffee or just to say “hello” even long after the deal has closed

  • Maintain the highest level of honesty and integrity, and treat everyone with the respect they deserve

  • Build relationships in your community because we believe in the power of being local

Qualifications

  • Extremely comfortable striking up a conversation with anyone and excellent communication skills

  • Be able to creatively solve problems...because stuff happens

  • Self-motivated

  • Ability to learn quickly

  • Ability to close in a short sales cycle environment

Preferred

  • 1+ year Sales experience a Plus

  • Merchant services and bankcard industry experience

  • Cold calling/prospecting experience
