This job was posted by : For more information, please see: Job DescriptionUnder the general direction, this position is responsible for the University's recruitment efforts in the Greater Central Valley Area; plan and coordinate admissions activities in the region. This position is home based in the Bakersfield or Fresno area out of the employee's home office. Independently ensures that the goals and objectives of the projects or programs are accomplished in accordance with priorities, timelines, funding limitations or other specifications.Essential DutiesFormulate and implement recruitment strategies, plans and goals for the region based on demographic analyses, market research and other admissions data.Develop working knowledge of ASU campuses and programs, policies and procedures.Monitor admission activity in critical markets and implement contingency plans as needed.Prepare statistical reports and analyses.Work with management team and supervisor to evaluate effectiveness of recruitment plan.Coordinate region's recruitment activities to include up to eight weeks of travel with evening and weekend work expected to cover events and recruitment activities.Communicate information about ASU's admission requirements to prospective students, families, guidance counselors, community-based organizations, and alumni volunteers.Initiate and maintain relationships with prospective students via phone and email communication.Develop and maintain relationships with high school counselors and other school, agency and community officials in the region.Participate in professional organization and professional development activities within the region.Travel to Arizona three to four times yearly for training and retreat activities.Other duties as assigned.
