  • Lead both independent as well as collaborative discussions with clients regarding their information security requirements

  • Develop and maintain internal intellectual property: a combination of white papers, subject matter guides, assessment processes and measurement documents, and project briefs

  • Perform assessment and/or solution deployment activities including requirement definition, feasibility, and delivery

  • Create statements of work for SHI assessment and security integration offerings

  • Review internal as well as partner-based statements of work

  • Independent and entrepreneurial, yet proficient with team dynamics

  • Possess knowledge across the full scope of technical security solutions including NGFW, SIEM, DLP, NIPS/HIPS, VPN, IAM, AV/anti-malware, EDR, and encryption

  • Moderate to advanced networking knowledge and troubleshooting

  • Maintain familiarity of one or more formalized IT security frameworks such CIS CSC, NIST CSF, ISO, and HITRUST

  • Articulate client needs to build a requirements document based on discovery information obtained

  • Design an appropriate security solution based on requirement documents

  • Lead and participate in project management efforts to include complying with communication plans and risk identification

  • Support the sales organization throughout the entire security sales life cycle

  • Work in high-profile and stressful client environments

  • Work flexible schedules, evenings and weekends, according assessment and solution deployment requirements

  • Assist in managing client relationships with minimal oversight and direction

  • Work with other security solution architects for larger pre-sales and deployment engagements

  • Provide technical support to the pre-sales teams for services and product support

  • Conduct self-study and independent work in lab facilities to increase job-related skill

  • Obtain technical certifications as needed

  • Recommend security solutions based on industry trends and knowledge of client environments

  • Proficient with the following Microsoft Office products Word, PowerPoint and Visio

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working with design and delivery/implementation of information security/risk management products

  • Performance of one or more gap assessments for formalized information security frameworks and compliance requirements preferred but not required

  • One or more of the following security certifications: CISSP, SANS GIAC, CEH, or equivalent preferred but not required (must obtain within one year of hiring)

  • Past security testing experience to include vulnerability assessments and penetration is preferred but not required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience preferred but not required

  • Past client and vendor conference presentation(s)

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Must be able to pass client-required background checks as needed

  • Technical writing (redacted samples may be requested)

  • Highly-organized with strong oral and written communication, presentation and consultative experience across a diverse set of security technology solutions

  • SOW creation and delivery

  • RFP response experience

  • Consulting project delivery

  • Familiarity with services time entry and management
