Reporting Librarian - Data Management and Financial Systems
At Stony Brook Medicine,the Reporting Librarian will be an integral member of the Enterprise Reporting team responsible for maintaining the extensive library of clinical reports and dashboards which have been created for the hospital community.
Duties of a Reporting Librarian in the Enterprise Analytics Department may include the following but are not limited to:
Manage Business Object folder and report structure. Review all current reports and folders looking for stale, inaccurate or outdated reports. Work with hospital staff to validate current content, distribution/access of report, and consolidation of reports where possible. Archive unnecessary or inaccurate reports.
Handle requests for simple report modifications such as minor content changes or requests to reschedule reports. Address and troubleshoot Helpdesk tickets opened about failed or missing reports.
Establish a catalog of existing reports including report content, requester, folder location and security. Catalog will also include standard reports provided with existing applications.
Review all requests for new reports against catalog of existing reports to determine if a report exists with requested content or similar content which can be modified to satisfy both requirements with one report.
Manage report turnover/move to production. Verify that all report content and documentation follow reporting standard before it can be moved to production.
Associates degree and 2 years’ experience or Bachelor’s degree with minimal experience.
Analytic mindset and approach to problem solving.
Business Objects experience.
Experience in a health care or hospital environment.
Familiarity with medical terms.
