We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Employee Communication to be located in Stamford, CT and report to the Senior Director, Corporate Affairs.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Establish an Internal Communications vision and strategy that is aligned to the company s ambition and purpose. This strategy will include CEO and Executive Team engagement, visibility and multi-channel communications plans.

Build and execute internal communications strategies and messages that engage employees in 94 locations across North America

Ensure effective use of employee communications channels to provide varied yet consistent messages and opportunities for engagement

Regularly evaluate employee communications and engagement activities and provide recommendations for improvement

Effectively anticipates and provides leadership and senior level support for employee-facing communications needs around major internal or external events and activities

Lead the communication strategy for the Senior Team

Provide communications counsel and support to Executive Team

Maintain strong cross-functional relationships (Human Resources, Functional leaders, site heads) to build a deep understanding of the business and culture and apply to communications programs

Lead / participate in cross-functional teams in a communications role (e.g. Editorial Board meetings, SHE council)

Qualifications

Key qualifications include:

Proven track record of leading innovative and effective internal communications teams. Demonstrated ability to push the boundaries of internal communications and what s possible

Proactive leader with strong customer service orientation, a commitment to quality (excellent attention to detail and follow through) and innovation and change champion

Ability to prioritize and balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills with strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills

Understanding of technology and trends to aid, improve and drive employee engagement

Extremely approachable - your door is open to ALL employees

Personal integrity who will inspire trust within the organization

Bachelor s Degree, preferably in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field

12+ years communications experience with at least 5 years writing for and counseling senior leaders in public sector organizations, preferably consumer products

Outstanding verbal and written communications skills

Results oriented and committed to team success

Professional maturity to handle confidential information

Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work across functions and personalities

Demonstrated good judgment and ability to effectively prioritize work load

Flexible and able to successfully navigate ambiguity and succeed in a rapidly changing, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple priorities

A strategic thinker who is able to make connections across the business and apply them to communications initiatives; anticipates issues and proactively works to solve them

Demonstrated ability to lead communications activities during significant change/corporate evolution

At times when business critical issues arise, must be willing to work outside normal business hours.

Ability to travel as needed to NWNA branch offices, factories and other facilities (15-20%)
