LRS Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Middleware Administrator for a long-term contract opportunity (plus possible RTH) with our client in St. Louis, MO!

The Middleware Administrator will:

  • Install various Middleware Products, creating, configuring, deploying and troubleshooting monitoring solutions and providing deployment implementation best practices.

  • Diagnose software problems and resolve or direct to the appropriate team.

  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.

  • Be responsible for troubleshooting server and applications problems as reported by users.

  • Research, evaluate and recommend software and hardware products.

  • Support system and application access and maintain a secure systems environment.

  • Provide new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth; install new servers and maintain the server infrastructure.

  • Define procedures for monitoring and evaluate, diagnose and establish work plans to resolve system issues.

  • Perform troubleshooting for complex hardware, software and network problems.

  • Work on multiple projects as a project team member.

  • Support media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services.

  • Develop and promote standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience with Middleware administration and implementation in a high usage, high profile platform environment

  • Experience working on UNIX or Linux environments with installation and script deployments

  • Ability to install and configure WebLogic or JBoss or WebSphere or TIBCO, Tomcat, EMS, BW, BE

  • Must be able to work any day and any shift

  • Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)
