MTEQ is seeking a Senior Software Developer to support OPIR with extensive knowledge and strong communication skills to join our team of well qualified, diverse individuals at our Springfield, VA client site.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Prototype automation approaches, integrate Matlab toolkit into AWS, automate instrumentation interfaces.
Apply advanced Python programming skills to enhance and expand an existing prototyping tool kit for deployment in a cloud computing environment.
Debug code, optimize algorithms, and convert Matlab scripts to Python scripts.
Perform analysis and conduct experiments to characterize and model the optical characteristics of the atmosphere.
Apply optical science and engineering to develop active or passive electro-optical and infrared remote sensing applications.
Understand instrumentation uses and develop an approach to automate.
Python and Matlab skills required along with signals processing experience.
Active Top Secret; TS/SCI preferred
