This position will focus on the in-take (grading, sorting, pricing and jewelry tote preparation for stores. This position will also send e-Commerce suited product to the e-Commerce department.
Subscribes to and promotes Goodwill of the Finger Lakes mission, vision, and values. Functions as an active team member to achieve department and agency goals.
Competencies needed to be successful in this job include: an action orientation, strong customer focus, ability to deal with ambiguity and change, attention to detail, basic computer skills (including Microsoft Office, Internet based researching, and good interpersonal skills (effective communicator).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Intake merchandise for sales:
Complete manifests on incoming totes, inspect for accuracy, update intake log.
Grade and sort (accept/reject) jewelry according to Goodwill guidelines for quality and price point.
Sort jewelry according to E-Commerce guidelines for channel (online and in-store) based on price points and target Average Price per Auction.
Tag/Inventory to insure appropriate store recognition for product sold (and returned) and to ensure asset protection.
Keeps abreast of merchandise knowledge, industry trends, and competitive pricing. Continually learning brands, collectibles, etc.
Prepare totes (jewelry packaged by price point and category) for delivery to stores:
Sort and package by price point and category; build totes to a specific revenue target and consistently.
Seal and provide manifest for tote.
Meets the standard production requirements to reach weekly target tote goals.
Work Quality – Appropriate processing, selection and stewardship of donations.
Prices merchandise using our baseline guide; items of exceptional value to be sent to e-Commerce for evaluation and pricing.
Work independently with minimum supervision, able to provide direction to other e-Commerce employees that may be asked to assist with the product intake process; communicates effectively with other team members.
May be required to participate in activities outside of the warehouse.
Performs other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Must have open availability and able to work weekends.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous related retail experience preferred.
Comfortable with computers (keyboarding, using Microsoft Office, and various search engines).
Knowledge about jewelry (costume, hallmarks, basic retail prices) preferred but not required.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Able to read, analyze, and interpret market value based on results of general research.
May be required to learn and work with various e-Commerce online platforms, for example, Shopgoodwill.com from a seller perspective.
Able to collect data and establish recommended pricing as well as auction content based on research.
While performing the duties of this job, the Jewelry Pricer is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time and to work extensively with computers. Will be required to frequently lift 20-30 pounds and may be required to lift 50+ pounds. Must be able to communicate effectively. Needs to have reasonable mobility.
While performing the duties of this job the Jewelry Pricer is usually working in a comfortable and moderate noise level environment.
Will be exposed to a warehouse environment, which can include moderate to loud noises and changing temperatures due to dock area.
