Eichleay, Inc. Project Planner in Pittsburg, California

Eichleay is seeking an experienced Project Planner with industrial experience to join our team. This is a new position which will be located in our client’s office in Pittsburg, CA supporting small capital projects. The primary responsibilities of the Planner include: Planning and Designing small projects up to $300,000 Total Installed Cost (TIC), designing project per specifications and also procuring materials, as well as working with the Project Team to create the Job Package or Abbreviated Bid Package that will be used by contractors to estimate and perform the work.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with Project Engineer, Manufacturing Reps, Technical Advisors, and Engineering to develop detailed project scope

  • Conduct field walks and take measurements to design project layout

  • Coordinate with Engineering Disciplines (Civil, Electrical, Piping, Instrumentation) when additional expertise is needed

  • Reference specifications for system design

  • Create piping isometrics

  • Procure and expedite project materials

  • Consolidate project information into a job or bid package

  • Meet regularly with plants and project teams to communicate project status and discuss priorities

Job Qualifications:

  • Willingness to adhere to all environmental and safety standards.

  • Successful candidates typically have 5-10 years of relevant experience in a variety of mechanical maintenance or construction roles

  • Be proficient in math and have sound computer skills with the ability to clearly document/communicate using Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

  • Ability to create isometric drawings using software

  • Be able to effectively communicate and work with a variety of individuals and companies, both on and off site

  • Ability to manage and progress multiple projects in various stages at same time.

  • Willingness to be a fully participating member of a versatile, multi-skilled, empowered team.

  • Willingness to support a smoke-free and drug-free work environment.
