Position Description :

The Radiation Therapy Technician works with clinical physicists, dosimetrists and other therapists as part of a treatment team under the direction of the Radiation Therapy Supervisor. Staff therapists are proficient in many departmental functions, primarily the accurate and safe delivery of daily radiation treatments. The proficiency is achieved by various rotations on all treatment units at HUP and the VAH facilities, plus on adequate exposure to simulation.

Minimum Requirements :

The qualified candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a certificate of completion from an approved radiation therapy technology program. Must possess a current ARRT certificate or be Board eligible. Must be able to understand and operate treatment machines and simulators in order to deliver safe and accurate treatments and treatment planning.
