Purpose & Objective of Position

Strategic Partner Marketing is responsible for innovating and executing best-in-class external, internal, and to-partner programs, accelerating the digital transformation through partners, making SAP a recognized leader in the market as well as driving innovative digital communications and marketing to, with and through partners. In that context, the Strategic Partner Marketing Programs team within the Strategic Ecosystem Marketing organization is responsible for enhancing, extending and protecting the reputation of SAP’s ecosystem and channels, while supporting partner sales and business whenever possible. To this end, the Strategic Partner Marketing Programs team leverages and empowers the SAP partner ecosystem as a force multiplier for SAP solutions and messaging in all markets globally.

This position works closely with colleagues in partner management, partner marketing, product communications, To-Partner Communications, and solutions marketing teams. Partner PR Senior Communications Specialist collaborates and teams with partners on activities to foster value and success for SAP and its partners as well as our mutual customers.

The events marketing intern will help generate demand for and accelerate pipeline with sales/channel/ecosystem through the tactical execution and end to end orchestration of high quality physical and virtual events that are consistent with the SAP Brand and the emerging SAP Experience. Enhance awareness, engagement and advocacy with customers, prospects, and partners by producing high quality events aligned to sales and marketing strategy. Manage agencies and enable sales / partner participation for effective event execution.

Expectations & Tasks

  • Execute an integrated events marketing plan across multiple partner routes with consistent messaging focused on partner integration into SAP Tier 1 events

  • Manage content entry and integration into event ECMS

  • Have a basic understanding and eagerness to learn how to translate business objectives and communication strategy into effective event tactics, which may include invitations, collateral, presentations, signage and premiums.

  • Collaborate with sales and operations stakeholders to evaluate lead quality and improve acceptance rates for partner attendees. Work with Marketing operations and other teams to promote events through a variety of channels including email, sap.com, social media, etc.

  • Successful completion of a strategic project

  • Presentation of strategic project to internal and external stakeholders

  • Establishing internal network and close collaboration to maximize the impact of our activities

  • Strong Analytical and conceptual thinking skills

  • Active interest in innovative technologies

  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently within a complex project environment

  • Flexible working style and strong multicultural team skills

  • Events marketing experience

Educational Requirements (degrees, class completion, etc.)

  • In progress - 4 year University degree in Marketing, Business Management or related fields

  • Strong written and verbal communication/ presentation skills in English
