Manages the development, establishment and direction of regional, role based, or line of business sales training strategies and policies to enable optimal productivity of the sales organization. Responsible for managing the design, development and deployment of product, process and skills enablement programs that drive elite sales performance within Oracle's global sales organization.

Determines and evaluates sales training needs for the organization. Develops and directs the build of sales training curriculum and programs. Organizes and manages sales training sessions. Facilitates formal and informal presentations to senior management, sales organization, and other internal functions as appropriate. May work with other Oracle team to incorporate corporate or regional strategy into training curriculum. Provides guidance within the sales organization and shares best practices. Analyzes performance of sales personnel to determine need for additional training. May oversee a staff of sales trainers and/or Sales Performance Designers and others. Keeps informed of new training methods and techniques.

Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate business needs. We arelooking for an experienced sales training manager or sales enablementprofessional who is passionate about product enablement and successfullyleverages this experience to create a global enablement standard across producttraining. Ideally you will have 10 years of experience in sales and/orsales enablement and demonstrative learning development and leadershipexperience with strong stakeholder management. A consultative approach and agood understanding of the process and requirements of sales training.Experience with formal sales methodologies would also be beneficial.

Therole is highly collaborative and will include liaising with the OSPA regionalperformance partners, regional sales leadership, product marketing and productmanagement to understand the business requirements. This is in addition tomanaging a team of product enablement specialist.

Therewill be travel involved with both domestic and international assignments(approximately 20%).

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain product enablement learning paths that aligns the businessneeds and internal OSPA programs to ensure the global community is fullysupported within the overall employee lifecycle

Managea global team of product enablement specialist and help drive their success.

Engage and manage relationship with key stakeholders from global leadership byproviding a platform for their input through a steering board on the creationand evolution of the enablement path for sales and solution engineeringtraining

Understand business requirements and KPIs and be able to transform and create anenablement strategy that effectively supports the metrics through gap andimpact analysis

Work with internal OSPA groups to align, plan and execute delivery of the plan

Will be actively involved in the creation and updating of the productenablement training programs leveraging expertise and business input from keystakeholders (internal and external to OSPA)

Lead a global community that will encompass business stakeholders and regionalpartners

Drive adoption of new and existing programs including webcast, Live VirtualTraining and Instructor Lead Training.

Be the recognized point of contact for direction and knowledge on productenablement training strategy to both the individual contributor and manager communitiesand other stakeholders

Link sales skills competencies and proficiency levels to curriculum and OSPAbadging.

Ensure that the product enablement programs and initiatives meet the businessneeds of managers and support their ability to lead and coach others on them


Degree level qualification minimumand relevant training qualifications would be an advantage.

Detailed Description and JobRequirements

The Product Enablement Senior Managerwill be responsible for creating a product enablement path for the communitythat encompasses all aspects of product enablement including multiple forms ofdelivery. Within each of these disciplines, the Senior Manager needs tounderstand the requirements for each to enable individuals to achieve the bestperformance. In order to understand the learning needs for the individualand manager, the manager will facilitate discussion with OSPA regional performancepartners and global sales leadership to understand the specific requirementsand business priorities from the regions, translating this into an enablementpath that successfully addresses them. Will maintain a cadence of thediscussion to continuously update and improve learning paths, webcast, andXWeek evolving the model and presenting the results and actions that have beenachieved to OSPA leadership. A key activity for this role will be to work withthe global program leads to leverage and ensure that the OSPA learningportfolio reflects business needs, and that the path created effectivelymaximizes utilization of internal resources and learning programs.

This will be a leading contributor individually, as a Manager, and as a teammember that will provide direction and mentoring to regional OSPA teamsregarding product training. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving theapplication of advanced technical/business skills and sales skills in areas ofspecialization. The role should be recognized as a subject-matter expert withinOracle requiring excellent presentation, communication and writing skills.Ability to multi-task and superior time-management skills.
