Senior Collections Advisor

Do you want to work in a team of people dedicated to helping customers who are experiencing financial difficulties?

If yes, we may have the perfect role for you supporting Capital One’s customers in the Collections Team at our Nottingham Head Office.

Our customers may be experiencing either short-term or long-term financial difficulties for a variety of reasons. You will need to be a great communicator who can utilize effective questioning and listening skills to enable you to fully understand our customers’ individual financial circumstances and find sustainable solutions to their credit problems over the telephone.

By dealing with our customers in a constructive, supporting and reassuring way, you will use empathy and patience to ensure that our customers feel comfortable and safe with the information that they are giving you.

So, who are we looking for?

It goes without saying that we need you to be professional and have a high level of self-motivation. You are solution focused and can read between the lines, understanding that what customers don’t say can be just as important as what they do say. You are confident working in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working as part of a wider team.

Whilst experience of working in a Collections environment is preferable, it is not essential.

Competitive starting salary: £17,940

Hours: Working 37.5 hours a week within our operational hours of 8:00 till 21:00 on weekdays and 9:00 till 18:00 on weekends.

You will need to be able to work evenings & at least one weekend day each week.

Start date - if successful the start date for this role will be 16th July so it is important you have no holiday booked from 16th July to 17th August.
