This position may perform all or some of the following duties as assigned: Greets customers, rings up sales for merchandise, answers phone and checks ID cards to ensure only authorized patrons utilize the program. Answers questions in regards to hours of operation, upcoming evens, special events, merchandise availability and cost. Operates a cash register, ringing sales and providing correct change to the customer. At end of shift, completes the Daily Activity Report (DAR), ensures all cash handling/reporting/security requirements are met, verifies the amount of money collected and drops the cashier bag into the drop safe.
Ensures the proper preparation and display of merchandise. Receives merchandise from storage area. Inventories and verifies shipments and stock items in accordance with established stock location procedures. Continually observes quantities of stock, and replenishes as necessary to maintain established levels. Rearranges stock and displays to accommodate new, seasonal or fast moving items. Maintains sales and storage areas in a neat, orderly condition at all times.
Performs basic cleaning duties to maintain a constant and clean working area and ensures all current sanitation requirements are followed and maintained. Vacuums carpeted areas; washes walls, windows, blinds and other surfaces and replaces light bulbs as needed. Maintains restroom ensuring they are clean, orderly and sanitary, disinfects and deodorizes lavatories, urinals and toilet bowls. Replenishes bathroom tissue, hand towels and soap. Notifies supervisor when cleaning supplies are needed and reports all equipment malfunctions to supervisor for corrective action. As directed, assists with inventory of merchandise.
Prepares and serves a variety of hot and cold beverages and limited food items such as danish, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, etc., Responsible for the sales of tickets.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have the ability to understand and carry out basic verbal and written instructions.
Knowledge of basic arithmetic to compute charges, make change accurately and prepare reports.
Must be a mature individual and be skilled in customer service techniques, tact and good judgment.
Assignments and tasks are generally repetitive. More complex issues are referred to supervisor for resolution.
Routine duties require minimal physical effort. some light lifting is required and the incumbent must stand for an extended period of time.
Generally work is inside with adequate heat, ventilation and light. Subject to irregular tour of duty, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Incumbent must obtain a Health Card prior to first day of work. Afterwards, must be able to successfully pass a Food Handlers Sanitation course, thereafter to be updated and maintained annually.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
