Job Purpose:

The Product Director is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with the development team and project sponsors. The Product Director’s job also includes ensuring the final deliverables meet the approved requirements and produce the appropriate data results. Product Directors are expected to manage portfolios of small products, or a single large scale product.

Annalect’s Foundation product includes a business partner collaboration center fused with a cutting edge business intelligence platform to manage both client and client account team process, workflow, and data requirements. The Foundations and Competitive product manager is responsible for ensuring Annalect’s foundation offering is competitive in the marketplace, leads the industry in terms of functionality and client feedback.


Core Skills

· Manage the overall product development process from conception to implementation

· Supervise up to 3 junior product managers

· Direct a core, dedicated team of 4-6 developers with various disciplines and backgrounds

· Conduct discovery meetings to gain key insights from stakeholders

· Create project specs with design schematics for each component

· Manage change-control documentation

· Create project milestones and ensure deadlines are met

· Send internal communications and progress updates to core audience

· Run beta programs and coordinate product releases

· Incorporate end user relevance and user-friendliness

· Collaborate with experience designers to minimize training requirements and increase adoption of tools

· Assist in quality assurance and data quality

· Support training sessions and approve training program/materials

· Must be available for international travel

· Understands product competitive landscape (across other holding companies and startup companies)

Specific Skills

· Understands the media competitive landscape (Nielsen, Kantar, etc…) and global competitive processes

· Understands partner collaboration requirements (SharePoint,, etc…)

Technology Thought Leadership

· Collaborate with the PHD, OMD, and OMG departments to assess and recommend technologies that support company business needs

· Speak at industry events, tradeshows, and other educational opportunities to build your personal brand and the OMG and Annalect brand

Team and Project Management

· Provide input as needed for scoping, project planning, risk management, and budget planning; monitor team expenses

Staying Cutting Edge

· Share knowledge, mentor, and educate the organization’s management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders with regard to the company’s technological vision, opportunities, and challenges

· Upgrades system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software

· Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations and trade conferences

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices by attending relevant conferences and reading widely


· Minimum 6+ years' industry experience maintaining a code base written in a high-level object-oriented language

· 2+ years experience managing web application development. · Experience with startup companies a plus

· Experience working with creative/design teams to enhance products usability and adoptability

· Experience in 2 or more of the following product areas: Business Analytics, Data Mining, Operations Research, Predictive Modeling, Econometrics, Quant, Statistics, Text Mining, Web Analytics, Machine Learning, Distributed computing, Data Visualization

· Have built or guided the build of Web applications, widgets, Facebook apps, iPhone apps, Android apps, and interactive ads or have hands-on experience coding in more than one currently popular web application framework.

· Knowledge of web standards (HTML, CSS, privacy policies, accessibility).

· Familiarity with technical requirements of Internet display marketing and search engine optimization

· Familiarity with information security vulnerabilities and risk management

· University degree in the field of computer science, engineering, or another rigorous technical discipline. An advanced degree in one these fields is a plus.
