Provide safe and nurturing care for children using the childcare services at the 14th Street Y. Create positive relationships with each child and parent.
SCOPE OF INFLUENCE
- Partners with internal and external (on occasion) customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Create a unique and memorable relationship with each child as well as parents
Foster age-appropriate learning and play opportunities
Create a fun, playful, family friendly environment
Maintain neat, professional attire and a courteous, helpful attitude
Foster and grow strong relationships with our fitness facility members
Health & Safety
Provide a safe, clean atmosphere for children
Maintain CPR/AED certification
Be familiar with and follow building procedures in case of any emergency
Collaborate with your team members to build a highly effective team environment and accomplish team goals.
Develop professional relationships with co-workers, participants and guests.
Attend Childcare staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Sincere interest and enthusiasm in engaging with children
Prior customer service and childcare experience
Superior customer service skills
Ability to work morning and weekend schedule required
Team player and a passion to build relationships with individuals
Proactive, hands on approach, as well as a professional work ethic
Self-motivated, highly efficient, strong attention to details
CPR/AED & First Aid Certification required
