Assistant General Manager

Were looking for an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to be part of a growing global property group department who is a collaborative professional and possesses the expertise necessary for this role.


As an AGM, you will be an essential member of URW's World Trade Center Management Team. You will:


Support the GM in executing a strategic plan and vision for the business.


Help drive profitability by creating additional value for retailers and customers, making Westfield the retail destination of choice. Deliverable metrics include: discretionary spend, sales growth, increasing traffic, repeat business, average time spend per visit, dwell time, website visits, database size, and stores shopped per visit


Develop powerful relationships and partnerships with retailers to improve performance, drive profitability, and grow customer loyalty/retention


Manage all facets of asset operations including but not limited to tenant relations, event roll-outs, maintenance, housekeeping


Assist with the preparation of the annual budget


Assist with collection of monthly receivables


Control and approve expenses including negotiating contracts, authorizing expenditures, reviewing monthly profit and loss statements


Inspect the interior/exterior of the building on a daily basis and follow up on any deficiencies noted


Oversee and coordinate facilities staff response to issues regarding the properties


Handle customer complaints


Attend weekly staff meeting


Coordinate any marketing-related requests with appropriate operational departments


The minimum requirements and skills include:


4 to 6 years of experience working in a public-facing role

Excellent communication skills - verbal and written

Ability to work a rotating schedule during the hours the center is operating

Ability to analyze budget numbers for conformance to budgetary guidelines

Ability to manage and develop center staff to ensure the smooth operation of the center

Must be able to inspect the property on a daily basis

Must be able to cope with shifting priorities, difficult situations and deadlines

Must be able to respond to the property 7 days a week, 24 hours a day to handle emergencies

Must be highly organized



Preferred Qualifications include:


A.A., B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent

Prior retail property management experience
