Intuit Financial Data Technical Consultant in Mountain View, California

Overview

Come join the Intuit’s Financial Data Platform (IFDP) team that is developing the financial data platform (FDP), a key strategic capability as part of the enterprise technology group at Intuit. As a Financial Data Technical Consultant, you will be a member of the Direct Connectivity (DC) leadership team, working closely with product managers, architects and implementation team in performing technical due diligence on financial institutions (FI) data providers’ readiness for onboarding to Intuit’s financial data platform.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical overview and guidance, particularly around standard Authorization and Data APIs for FIs seeking secure and reliable integration solutions

  • Understand financial institution's (FI) technical capabilities for data integration and user authorization. Evaluate FI’s DC requirements against FDP capabilities and identify any functional gaps.

  • Understand Intuit’s FDP direct connectivity environment and its capabilities.

  • Work with FDP DC team to articulate a response to the requirements, which could include agreeing to enhance the FDP platform for the FI requirement or proposing an alternate solution.

  • Work with the FDP Architect team to come up with a system solution meeting the FI requirements in a scalable, reusable, and economic fashion. Document the solutions as an implementation guide for use by FIs and the implementation team. Keep the customization to the minimum.

  • Drive the review and validation of FI deliverables, e.g. APIs, workflows and data, against the agreed upon specifications.

  • Identify common requirements across FIs and build those into DC team roadmap ahead of FI engagements.

  • Work with the product development (PD) and Implementation team to help resolve any blocker issues.

  • Work with the product development and Implementation teams to standardize and document the onboarding steps as standard operating procedure for future use.

  • Establish requirements around builds and testing to facilitate FIs onboarding, work with PD teams to scope the work and set the expectations with FIs and Business Development team.

  • Work with other Intuit business units to ensure FI solution is compatible with their product offerings and serves the needs of customers in general.

  • Work with FI Channel business development Account Executives and FDP Solution Consultants in the team environment to help sell Intuit direct connectivity solutions to leading FIs in the US and globally.

  • Engage with FIs and other industry stakeholders in furthering the standardization efforts for direct connectivity.

Qualifications

  • Passion for being at the leading edge of technology with a minimum of 10 years of hands on software development experience.

  • Experience defining, crafting, documenting and using modern REST APIs.

  • Knowledge of key user data sharing authorization technologies, such as OAuth2 or Open ID Connect, and their role in financial data integration.

  • Expertise with any of the following Object Oriented Languages (OOD): Java/J2EE, Python.

  • Expertise in the Software design/architecture process.

  • Experience working with financial institutions and financial data integration projects.

  • Prior experience as a Solution Architect in the past.

  • Direct experience in the Financial Industry Technology (FinTech)

  • Adept at articulating the product vision and drive the future roadmap with strong business acumen. Ability to think and act strategically for all stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
