Environmental Monitoring & Technologies, Inc. (EMT) is an environmental laboratory providing our clients with quality testing services for over 31 years. We specialize in analysis of water, wastewater, and soils for organic and inorganic compounds as well as conducting field sampling services for a variety of regulatory programs.

The Sample Login Technician performs a wide variety of tasks for EMT’s clients. The Sample Login technician receives and logs in samples to our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), creates bottle orders, and disposes completed laboratory samples.

The Sample Login Technician acts as the subject matter expert regarding sample information, sample location, and sample matrixes’ in discussions with sales, project management and our clients. The Sample Login Technician must display motivation to see projects through to completion and practice proactive customer service when interacting with our clients.

Specific Duties of the position:

  • Receive samples and accurately enter all data into the LIMS system.

  • Verify sample matrix, volume, integrity, temperature, etc.

  • Preserve and dispose samples according to our safety policies.

  • Prepare bottle orders and ship them to clients.

  • Confirm receipt of shipped samples and packages.

  • Perform safe handling of hazardous chemicals (Strong Acids and Bases).

  • Be available to work overtime hours when approved by management.

  • Communicate effectively with the Login Manager, co-workers, and clients.

Physical requirements of the position:

  • Must be able to lift/carry heavy equipment, coolers, etc. (up to 40 lbs.).

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

  • Must be able to work outdoors for short periods of time in all weather conditions.

  • Must be able to wear all PPE required for the position.
