Here's a few highlights: As an Assistant Tax Site Coordinator, you will be responsible for the overall activities, operations and results of the site(s) you support. The Assistant Tax Site Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact and acts as the liaison between the site Tax Preparers and the district team. You will work with Tax Preparers to ensure tax returns are prepared accurately following tax form instructions and tax tables; prepare or assist in preparing simple to moderate-complexity tax returns for individuals; use all appropriate adjustments, deductions, and credits to keep clients' taxes to a minimum; interview clients to obtain additional information on taxable income and deductible expenses and allowances; check data input or verify totals on forms prepared by others to detect errors in arithmetic, data entry, or procedures; consult tax law handbooks or bulletins in order to determine procedures for preparation of atypical returns. Additional responsibilities will include completion and submission of statistical reports at the end of each shift, ensure on-site quality review is performed on completed returns and complete electronic filing of batched taxpayers returns within designated timeframe.
