OVERVIEW General Mills is seeking a Trademark Paralegal to work on a team with attorneys, paralegals and legal assistants. Responsibilities: * Conduct domestic and international trademark searches and provide opinions to team attorneys. * Prepare routine filings in the USPTO such as trademark applications, renewals, responses to office actions, and other maintenance tasks. * Correspond directly with clients on all facets of trademark prosecution and maintenance. * Work with foreign counsel in the prosecution and maintenance of foreign trademarks. * Manage trademark calendar deadlines. * Manage docketing and data entry in trademark database. * Review and approve outside counsel invoices. * Review and approve new packaging. Minimum Requirements: * At least 3 years of trademark paralegal experience. * Analytical skills requiring exceptional attention to detail and accuracy to analyze and manage intellectual property data, process information and perform essential duties. * Bachelor's Degree in Paralegal Studies or Legal Studies or a Bachelor's Degree and a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program. * Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word and SharePoint a plus). * Experience with WebTMS (or other docketing software) and SERION (or other trademark searching software). * Exceptional oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and sound judgment. * Dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with others in a team-oriented environment. * Ability to handle a large volume of deadline-oriented work. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Law firm experience a plus. * Experience working with clients and outside counsel internationally. * TrademarkNow trademark search experience.
