The Lease Accounting & Reporting Analyst is a member of the NA A&R Costing team. This accountant position is within the NA A&R Capital Project Accounting Team Tower. This is a key role that will implement the new leasing standards and design ongoing processes. This position will focus on data management, reporting and financial accuracy, consistent lease accounting processes and compliance with gap and tax guidelines.

Principal Accountabilties

40% Partner with NA Businesses (Finance and Operations), CBS, and Corporate Technical Accounting to ensure leases are accurately accounted for:

o Understand corporate policies and ensure compliance across NA businesses.

o Align roles and responsibilities with CBS for accurate reporting.

o Perform Center of Expertise (COE) role as single point of contact for NA businesses questions on policy and procedure

30% Implementation of lease abstraction process and Tririga system integration which includes:

o Leading the NA businesses in meeting the requirements of the lease accounting standards by accurately logging all 1600 leases

o Ensuring all NA lease documentation is in order. Review and sign off on non-contract information for businesses and individual asset details

o User acceptance testing of Tririga system. Training of business users

30% Design of ongoing processes which include stakeholder training, process compliance, monitoring processes and team structure:

o Develop and document detailed NA procedures

o Train users on NA procedures

o Develop monitoring processes to ensure compliance

o Develop metrics to measure compliance



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, General Business or similar area

  • 2 years (or more) of accounting experience


  • 3 years (or more) of accounting experinece

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, within multiple levels of the organization

  • Ability to influence stakeholders across all levels and functions of the organization

  • Ability to adapt and learn in a changing work environment

  • Demonstrated experience in project management implementation

  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities/projects effectively

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to internal controls

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel or other spreadsheet applications

  • Experience with accounting systems including SAP
