Business Analyst/Project Manager Full-time Saint Peter, MN (preferred) or Minneapolis, MN (possible, with frequent travel to Saint Peter) Department: Information Technology Application deadline: Open Until Filled To apply: Complete the Position Summary Use your software development support skills to analyze business needs in order to provide technical documentation and develop & guide milestones of our evolving software development initiatives and enhancements through our software development resources as a Business Analyst/Project Manager. This hands-on position requires the ability to understand business needs, organize projects, accurately track progress and keep all stakeholders adequately informed while meeting timeline and budgetary goals. The BA/PM serves as a liaison between functional departments and technology to provide sound solutions impacting our clients and students. Essential Job Functions Facilitate the technology initiatives to provide operations, back office support, and client solutions viable technology solutions related to scholarship processing and student success program systems. Manage the planning, requirements gathering, design, development, implementation and quality of software applications. Create technical documentation to ensure project resources can comprehend & execute schedules, goals and milestones to meet objectives within scope and budget. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for execution of projects. Identify software gaps to business functionality requirements, identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability. Partner with the business team to ensure all requirements are clearly defined and the solutions fit the requirements in a standardized and reusable way. Manage the relationship between business partners, project teams and vendors. In partnership with internal clients prioritize application change requests. Perform appropriate testing and processes to ensure quality deliverables. Support department goals that align with current and future company objectives and initiatives. Required Skills and Experience Experience leading application development projects with the ability to direct activities through others. Project management skills and ability to present project status updates to technical & non-technical audiences effectively. Produce assignments accurately, on time, and on/or under budget. Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task and to prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities. Demonstrated ability to work with outside vendors and consultants, as needed. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to find successful resolution to complex issues or competing priorities. Strong customer service orientation to both internal and external clients. Ability to analyze information and evaluating results to choose the best solution to effectively solve problems. Bachelor's or Associate's Degree. 5+ years related professional experience in related field. Preferred Skills and Experience Experience with MS Project or similar project management tool. Proficiency with Software Development Life Cycle in professional environment.
