Job Description *

MISSION:

To coordinate and be responsible for daily operations of the warehouse , maintain inventory scrap, special tooling and x-ray film. Audit and provide documentation to customers, archive and recycle film and receive and provide warehouse materials for manufacturing

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Audit Component Quality.

Objective: to audit wax gating and wax weld components against standards as they move from molding to cleaning to assembly in order to assure product quality.

Typical Activities: A. Sample and inspect all fixturing for defects and report damage. B. Send defects back to appropriate area and follow up on their timely return. C. Work with supervision and the Production Scheduler Lead to resolve problems with product flow through the molding, cleaning, and assembly operations. D. Conduct customer audits and vendor managed inventory. E. Coordinate the approval of Engineering drawing changes in SharePoint.

2.Inventory Control.

Objective: to maintain accurate inventory of supplies and components has well as tooling for assembly and or molding.

Typical Activities: A. Order and count inventories of auto machine gates. B. Preview future schedules of parts to confirm components will be available for all patterns. C. Perform daily review of part location compared to the online Work List. Correct location errors by notifying the responsible employees to correct their oversight. Move to correct location electronically when necessary. Coordinates scheduling of gates with molding to assure proper timing. D. Responsible for assisting pattern molders as required. E. Assume molding lead/scheduling responsibilities as required. F. Maintain and inventory of special tooling in Visibility. G. Provide engineering and manufacturing with required special tooling and film. H. Scrap and ship tooling for quarter end. I. Inventory and input in computer database system according to the QCM and customer requirements for x-ray film and special tooling. J. Recycle and update computer system for x-ray film. K. Closeout TWA and special tooling purchase orders in the Visibility database system.

  1. Component Kit Preparation.

    Objective: to prepare accurate component kits to go from operation to operation and to assure maximum cart and space utilization. Present solutions to problems and suggestions for improvement.

    Typical Activities: A. Set up fixture and carts at each operation. B. Set up pattern component kits to make available to Pattern Assembly and/or molders. C. Consolidate components in order to most efficiently supply to assemblers and/or molders and make carts vailable to Molding.

  2. Safety.

    Objective: take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices. A. Adhere to plant and department safety rules. B. Safely operate all equipment and tools. C. Identify and report safety problems.

  3. Perform other tasks as directed.

TRAINING:

Training is provided on the job.

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. At least two year of experience in wax molding, cleaning or assembly and considerable working knowledge of product quality requirements and product structures. OR Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively and to work with others within and outside the department.
  3. Ability to interpret instructions and perform arithmetic calculations.
  4. Ability to attend to details and good organizational skills.
  5. Ability to occasionally lift and or maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  6. Ability to stand and walk the majority of the shift.
  7. Ability to work in difficult working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals and other elements for extended periods of time.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Experience in the TWA system.
  2. One year warehouse experience.
  3. One year knowledge of Visibility, computerized control systems and Excel spreadsheet functions.
  4. Six months of experience in SharePoint.
  5. Ability to organize time and workloads effectively and to work independently.
