Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Project Management4 at the Manned Aircraft Design Center of Excellence (CoE) in Melbourne, Florida. This position may also be located in El Segundo or Palmdale, California.

This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports, NOT a management or leadership position.

This role is within the Program Integration Team in Melbourne, FL. The Project Management 4 reports directly to the CPLM Manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Overall programmatic operation and integration

  • Coordination with internal customers, external customers, partners, suppliers, and homeroom personnel to ensure integration of program manufacturing tools (e.g., Teamcenter, ERP, MES, SAP) issues, resolutions, and schedules are managed

  • Contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards related to manufacturing process

  • Considered expert in field within the organization and able todevelop solution tocomplex tasks

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings

  • Must be able to work independently to complete complex assignments without appreciable direction

  • Prepare high level quad charts, presentation slides, and metrics

  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives

  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and customers

  • Manage and lead Program Operations tasks through implementation of Project Management principles

This is a high visibility role that gets to integrate vertically and horizontally across the IPT to ensure successful program execution. This individual should possess leadership and team building capabilities, and have strong interpersonal skills. Must possess solid organization abilities and be a motivated, flexible team player. Some travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college / university with 10 years in project management experience OR a Master's degree with 8 years of experience in project management

  • Must have 6+ years of experience in manufacturing tools; CPLM,ERP, MES, and SAP

  • Must have an Active, In-Scope, DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher that has been granted / renewed within the past 5-6 years

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Special Program Access

  • PMP Certification

  • SharePoint Experience

  • Extensive process and tool integration experience
