Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
The Government and Corporate Affairs Manager will be responsible for leading Chevron's Manila Shared Services Center's (MSSC) engagement with policy makers, government relations strategy, communications, social investment activities and employee engagement. As a head of the Government and Corporate Affairs team, the role will be responsible for:
Develop and implement the government relations strategies; building of relationships throughout the Philippines political system and represent Chevron at government and industry meetings
Represent Manila Shared Services Center (MSSC) at industry, business, corporate responsibility and media affairs and functions
Direct policy, government, and public affairs activities to ensure that the Company's business interests are protected and properly represented; gather business intelligence and provide proactive advice on government initiatives that could impact MSSC
Set the overall strategy and execution plan for all internal and external communication programs
Oversee the development and execution of strategic and well planned Corporate Social Responsibility plan that reflects the objectives and values of Chevron. Direct the implementation of annual social investment and corporate responsibility plan and budget
Accountable for development, implementation of comprehensive and sustainable Employee Engagement strategy and culture programs for MSSC. Set direction and provide oversight for 5 MSSC employee networks, 2 Special interest groups, and variety of community outreach programs
Oversees Business Continuity Planning function and crisis management
Bachelor’s Degree in political science, public administration, business, law or related field
10 years of experience in internal and external business communications required (government affairs, knowledge and understanding of the advocacy and legislative processes at the different government levels, public affairs or other relevant experience in private, non-profit, or government sector)
Corporate communications experience in a large multi-national company or a global brand
Minimum of 2 years leadership experience
Demonstrated strong influencing skills, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills
Demonstrated leadership skills, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
Demonstrated experience in managing broad internal and external communications responsibilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to relate to and work with a wide variety of stakeholders
Proficient with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
