Renaissance, a Google invested, leading provider of technology-based school improvement and student assessment programs for K-12 schools, is seeking a Psychometrician Intern. This is a paid internship located in our Madison, WI office.

As a Psychometrician Intern, you will be able to perform cutting edge psychometric work with the most widely used interim assessments in the United States (STAR) and work with the largest database of student reading information. Interns work under the guidance of our Psychometrician leads and will be assigned a mentor for the summer.

Required Experience:

Basic Qualifications of the Psychometrician Intern:

  • Doctoral student with sufficient course training in a relevant field (Quantitative Psychology, Educational Measurement & Statistics, Psychometrics, etc.)

  • 2+ years of applied research experience

  • Proven understanding of the foundations of psychometrics including classical test theory and item response theory

  • Experience in using SAS, R or SPSS

  • Experience in cleaning and preparing data

Preferred Qualifications of the Psychometrician Intern:

  • Demonstrated skills in designing and conducting research studies

  • An interest in educational technology

  • Subject-matter interest in K-12 assessment of Reading and Mathematics
