MTEQ is seeking a Project Manager with extensive knowledge and strong communication skills to join our team of well qualified, diverse individuals at our Lorton, VA Office.


The successful candidate will serve as the Project Manager for one or more rapid prototyping and production projects on a growing program. MTEQ supports the development of quick reaction capabilities for our US Navy and JSOC customers through rapid fabrication of prototype components, product kitting and sourcing of time sensitive or hard to find components.

The candidate will oversee all aspects of assigned projects to ensure compliance with technical requirements, schedule, and budget. The candidate will lead interdisciplinary teams of engineers and other technical staff, and interface with the customer and other third parties via Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). The PM will prepare reports for upper management regarding project status and execute to plans to ensure a matrixed workforce successfully fulfills project requirements. Prepare weekly and monthly CDRLs.


  • BA or BS degree and three to five (3-5) years of related experience managing DoD or Federal projects.

  • Demonstrate professionalism and competence in the client’s environment.

  • Manage the execution, completion and submission of all work products and deliverables.

  • Maintain a strong client focus, be responsive to client requests, and develop/maintain productive working relationships with client personnel.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Professional experience using MSOffice to include Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

  • Candidates must possess a current and active secret security clearance.

  • Must be able to readily adapt to changing priorities.

  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.


  • Prior experience in electronics manufacturing/subcontractor management is preferred.

  • Certification in project or program management (e.g., PMP, PgMP)


Ability to obtain Security clearance required. Active Security Clearance a plus
