General Electric Work Coordinator in Longmont, Colorado

Role Summary:

This position will coordinate the work of Material Handling team members and perform transactional activities related to the movement of materials

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, as the Work Coordinator, you will:

  • Coordinate quarantine process for RTV and in-house scrap materials ensuring timely and accurate disposition of raw items

  • Generate and back flush work orders as needed and support fulfillment of in-house manufactured items, raw component sales orders, RMA’s, and engineer material requests

  • Coordinate kitting requirements and priorities for Material Handling team

  • Perform SAP transactions of material movement

  • Conduct BOM analysis

  • Coordinate Return to Vendor activities

  • Receive, organize and store incoming materials

  • Perform inspection of materials to assure conformance with specifications

  • Pick, kit and distribute items to production floor in accordance with written work orders and/or verbal instructions

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Materials Manager

  • Observe all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) rules and practice safe work habits; report unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel

  • Assist in the development of processes to improve material handling

  • Work in a cooperative and communicative manner to meet individual and team objectives and to maximize productivity and efficiency

  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of departmental and company requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position which required extensive use of SAP or other ERP system

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S):

  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to 30 lbs

  • Ability to perform all key duties of Material Handlers

  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends as required by production demands

  • Ability and willingness to rotate to other shifts as required by production demands Desired Characteristics:

  • Fork lift and pallet jack certified

  • Proven leadership experience with sound judgment and high level of initiative

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface effectively with all levels of organization

  • Customer focus, high energy and aggressive approach to addressing issues

  • Proven problem solving skills with ability to perform root cause analysis and drive to resolution

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks

  • Ability to work to standard operating procedures

  • Basic math skills
