In this Staff Accountant role, it will be critical for you to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. Other responsibilities include internal reporting during the monthly close, participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. Your responsibilities in this role - Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls under SOX while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP - Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision - Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested - Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation - Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules - Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner - Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries - Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting - In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations - Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation - Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation - Take part in various department-wide initiatives - Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
