ADM Lincoln, NE Soybean Processing

Exempt Position

Position Summary:

Position is responsible for the overall maintenance of the Lincoln, NE Soybean Processing Facility to include Refining, Extraction, Cogen and Elevator. This position reports to the Extraction Manager with a dotted line reporting to the Refinery Manager and Cogen Superintendent. Maintenance works as a service department to all areas of the plant to plan, prioritize, and perform maintenance as required to assure efficient operations. This position is responsible for the oversight of asset management strategies within the plant, with the goal of providing reliable processes to the business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Strong commitment to safety, LOTO, and JSA use in the performance of maintenance work

  • Must promote, train and supervise employees in all safety initiatives

  • Familiar with grain handling and PSM requirements

  • Take a hands-on active role in managing maintenance department and employee performance

  • Knowledgeable in developing and implementing a world class CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) Program

  • Identifies and maintains critical spare parts inventory and control and utilizes strategic sourcing agreements to optimize value

  • Supports ADM Performance Excellence efforts

  • Troubleshooting skills and the ability to plan and document procedures for completing a task are required

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and record keeping skills

  • Excellent communication (spoken and written), listening and teamwork skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. walk long distances, stand for long periods, climb stairs and ladders, work at heights, bending, kneeling, working with tools and work in extreme temperature conditions

  • Flexible schedule, willing to accept on-call rotation and after-hours trouble calls, including nights and weekends when necessary

  • The candidate will train and supervise maintenance and contractor employees (mechanical, piping, electrical, etc.) to ensure a safe and reliable maintenance program for the Lincoln Site.

  • Must be able to establish expectations and goals for safety, quality, and productivity, reliability, environmental and service. Takes an active role in managing the maintenance group and coaching employees to reach their fullest potential by providing feedback in a manner that is effective, consistent and fair.

  • Activities include the alignment and implementation of maintenance and reliability best practices, including the application of operational effectiveness and continuous improvement techniques, and oversight of proactive maintenance and repair.

  • Other duties consist of, small project design/planning, warehouse inventory management, vendor interaction, and scheduling of services.

Job Requirements

  • Computer literate in Maximo, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and desire to enhance skills through education and training

  • Knowledge of Vibration, Infrared, Machinery Lubrication Technology, Oil Analysis, Ultrasonic, and Motor Circuit Evaluation predictive technologies.

  • Bachelors’ degree in Engineering or related field, or Technical degree in related field and 5 years maintenance and or operations experience, or High school diploma or equivalent combined with 10 years’ experience in maintenance and or operations

  • Three or more years of proven operations leadership, having direct experience in successfully leading change

  • Passion for Maintenance and process improvement
