Acadia Healthcare Denials Liaison in Lemont, Illinois


  • Receives communication from the Utilization Management Department concerning insurance denials.

  • Provides communication between the patients and families/guarantors when a denial status is received.

  • Provides communication with the Aftercare Department, Finance Department and treatment team on insurance denials and status.

  • Assists in communication of discharge plans that is required by insurance companies.

  • Able to assist the Aftercare Department in obtaining supplies and maintaining organization.

  • Able to assist the Aftercare Department in completing initial assessments and presenting Continuing Care Plan to patient.

  • Works on Excel/computer spreadsheet to track data requested.


  • Completes all responsibilities as assigned by supervisory personnel.

  • Attends and participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.

  • Participates in Quality Improvement activities.

  • Duties as assigned.


  • Minimum of two years of experience in a mental health care setting.

  • Minimum of BA/BS preferred with 2 year residential experience.

  • Knowledge of relevant computer applications.

  • Able to provide excellent customer service via phone and in person.

  • Able to encompass team work and carry out duties independently and effectively.

  • Required to have organizational and multitasking capabilities.
