Hallmark is looking for someone like you.n nThe Leavenworth Production center has an opening for a Materials Movement Specialist. Individuals in this department transport stock and recycled material to and from the warehouse to the production areas. n nThe Material Movement Specialist position in Leavenworth is on 2nd shift (3:30 pm to midnight), Monday through Friday.n nThe Materials Movement Specialist in Leavenworth transports stock between production departments and warehouse or between shipping and receiving docks. Loads and unloads incoming and outgoing trucks. Locates stock in the warehouse and fills orders for manufacturing using a variety of powered equipment. Responsible for loading and unloading skids onto the vertical lift and using the elevator as necessary. Responsible for sorting paper or other materials into proper recycling categories to ensure maximum revenue generation. Acts as a technical resource to support departments on paper grading. Operates paper, chip and poly balers to compress recyclable materials into bales. Responsible for all documentation related to stock movement. Transports hazardous waste material in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. Positively participates in performance dialogues and other team problem-solving activities. Identifies potential problems, and shows willingness to proactively work on problem resolution and alternative solutions to traditional methods of operation. Flexibility is key as the incumbent will be expected to move to different work assignments as needed. Incumbent will be expected to learn and perform multiple assignments within this job classification.n nThe Materials Movement Specialist position may be in several departments, and incumbent will be expected to learn and perform multiple assignments within this job classification. n nIn this position you will:nBe certified to operate fork lifts and other power equipment as required. nTransport stock between production departments and warehouse or between shipping and receiving docks and load onto trucks.nPrepare materials and supplies for shipment using banding equipment, power saws, power drills, film wrapper and string tie as required. Responsible for all documentation related to stock movement.nCoordinate with paper recycling contractor, metal, or other contractors regarding the pick-up and delivery of storage containers and trailers to support manufacturing workloads. Performs preventive and scheduled maintenance services on balers and power equipment. nDemonstrate the flexibility and teamwork to positively influence how goals are accomplished with shorter periods of time. nCommunicate effectively with outside vendors and other departments.nUtilize good safety practices.n nAPPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:nYou must show how you meet the basic qualifications (listed below) in a resume or document you upload, or by completing the work experience and education application fields.
