Summary The Global Supply Chain Planner/Analyst reports to the Manager Supply Chain and is part of the Global Service Operations organization. Essential Duties and responsibilities
Own end to end supply chain planning and execution of assigned technologies
Develop planning strategies to support internal and external customer requirements while minimizing the cost of doing business
Learn Baxter technology platforms that support spare part creation and management
Communicate effectively with stakeholders around the world. Establish and maintain effective communication with all levels within Baxter
Be an active contributor of Global spare parts planning team. Learn and implement Demand planning and inventory planning strategies and systems.
Directly support the procurement and disposition of spare parts in response to demand signals
Obtain materials in economic order quantities that maximize value and minimize total cost of ownership.
Assist in the annual standard costing process and provide price forecasts.
Participate in budget planning, inventory planning, monthly reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop knowledge of purchasing and associated materials management systems, as well as, develop skills and knowledge in project management, negotiation and contract terms and conditions.
Ensure that procurement processes meet the requirements of Baxter and suppliers with Total Quality Management (TQM) in mind.
Monitor and disposition obsolete parts and supplier returns for rejected products and help resolve supplier's quality issues.
Develop an in-depth knowledge of suppliers, technologies, manufacturing processes and purchasing strategies for assigned areas. Establish partnerships that are mutually beneficial to both Baxter and suppliers.
Monitor changes to spare part supply chain of assigned technologies and alert management about any cost, delivery or quality drivers.
Assist with projects as needed
Ability to learn new processes and systems
Computer literate. Software knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft office, Access
Complete tasks with minimal direction from manager and/or supervisor
Must be able to proactively improve processes, initiate projects and implement change.
Good presentation and communication skills.
High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree in business or technical field preferred.
2 or more years of supply chain experience preferred. Medical manufacturing industry background desired.
Knowledge of planning and procurement practices and techniques preferred.
C.P.M. and/or CPIM certification desirable.
Experience in MRP / Planning tools preferred.
Knowledge of Total Quality Management desired
