Join Pilot Flying J as a Payroll Accountant

The purpose of this job is to perform all general payroll accountingduties, in addition to reconciling and adjusting accounts and bank statements,and perform moderately complex analysis of performance results.


· Perform general accounting activities includingthe preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts andfinancial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, andcapital expenditure schedules

· Prepare, record, analyze, and report accountingtransactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness,accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles

· Provide financial support, includingforecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget

· Analyze and prepare statutory accounts,financial statements, and reports

· Conduct or assist in the documentation ofaccounting projects

· Perform special projects as assigned

· Compile, consolidate, and analyze accounting andfinance information to produce financial statements and reports

· Model behaviors that support the company’scommon purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highestlevel

· Ensure all activities are in compliance withrules, regulations, policies, and procedures

· Report Canadian weekly payroll taxes and makedeposits for withholding; reconcile the payment drafts to the Cash account

· Process Canada worker’s compensation (WC)premium payments and reports as well as processing and maintaining WC ClearanceCertificates

· Process and review weekly pay card reconciliationreports; audit payroll tax reports and verify CMS (card management system) paycard account balances

· Assist in processing and reporting the monthlyDOL and quarterly MWR

· Process quarterly Fuel Accounting bonus report,NV Modified Business, and United Way report

· Assist in reporting and publishing W2s/T4s/RL1sand year-end processing

· Assist in processing and reporting annualTexarkana Tax and Federal and State exemptions process

· Complete other duties as assigned


· Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required

· Minimum two years’ experience in payroll tax,accounting, or related area required

· Court ordered withholdings, payroll taxes, andmulti state payroll experience required

· Specialized Knowledge

· Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

· Familiarity with INFOR or other HRIS systempreferred
