Role purpose:

To support the delivery of the Africa market leadership strategy and business objectives through creative design that accurately reflects the firm’s brand and corporate identity. Display strategic insight into the business and communication needs of clients. Create strategically sound communication campaigns and winning business proposals.

· Proactively share ideas with the Africa Brand, Marketing and Communication management team.

· Influence the design trends within EY Africa and solutions to improveBrand, Marketing and Communication

· Think beyond visual interpretation to create a visual solution that is both strategic and creative within brand guidelines

· Perception of a strategic business advisor for Creative Direction

· Focus on design and strategic execution of key winning business initiatives and creative conceptualization

· Strategic winning proposals, packaging and presentations

· Positively influence the win rate of clients

Client and service excellence

· Interpret and understand the clients’ needs and objectives

· Develop a concept to suit these requirements

· Liaise with the client on cost effective and innovative solutions

· Practice effective communication with clients throughout project

Personal attributes

Technical

· Graphic design qualification – minimum 3 years

· 5 -7 years of work experience in agency or corporate

· Strong communication ability in both verbal and written English

· Project management

· Extensive working knowledge of layout and printing process

· Experience in use of Apple Mac

· Superior knowledge and application of design and other software (Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Keynote)

· Digital design experience is an advantage

· Strong communication ability in both verbal and written English
