Our strategy is focused on continued exceptional financial results through strong operations and safety performance, optimization of our assets, and disciplined growth in the domestic energy sector.Department SummaryThe Senior Business Development Manager applies a sophisticated combination of technical, commercial, and risk management knowledge to identify Commercial, Industrial and Institutional (CI) customer's needs and to facilitate the negotiation of agreements for utility-scale renewable energy power purchase or development and to assemble and manage multi-disciplinary development teams of internal and external resources that perform due diligence and negotiate contracts for acquisition of late-stage development projects and that complete the development of early to mid-stage, utility-scale renewable energy (wind, solar or storage) assets. The Sr. Business Development Manager coordinates these activities with various Company departments and regularly reports progress to management while delivering positive financial and strategic benefits to the Company. The Sr. Business Development Manager also builds positive relationships with CI customers and manages successful development and/or coordinates the acquisition of new renewable energy electric off-take commitments and generation assets, from identification of opportunity through closing on asset acquisition and successful completion of development and initial commercial operation.Job Description/Responsibilities•Assemble and manage a combination of internal and external resource, multi-disciplinary development teams that that perform due diligence, negotiate contracts for acquisition of late-stage development projects for utility-scale renewable energy (wind, solar or storage), and complete the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects through financial closing and commercial operation of new assets within established schedule budget, including creation and management of schedules, budgets, scopes, bid prices, revenue and earnings for completion of $200 million or more in new Company asset acquisitions or developments.•Manage and coordinate contract negotiations with developers, suppliers and contractors and business partners required for acquisition, development, or continued operation of new, utility-scale renewable energy assets.•Identify CI customer's needs for utility-scale renewable energy (wind, solar or storage), maintain regular communications and collaborate with project developers to identify potential project opportunities that could fulfill CI customer's needs, and analyze the project opportunities for potential fit with the Company's objectives and the CI customer's needs.•Identify and coordinate the pursuit of new business development opportunities, including CI customer and developer and business partner meetings, proposals, due diligence, contract negotiations, and monitor delivery of contract commitments by customers, developers and business partners per the contract.•Collaborate and maintain effective communications with internal Company business groups and segments impacted by the new initiatives, acquisitions and contract opportunities.•Manage with Corporate Communications on the preparation of project press releases, talking points
