NorthStar Anesthesia Divisional Chief Operating Officer in Irving, Texas
Summary/Objective: Drives business results across approximately half of NorthStar Anesthesia. Leads a team charged with delivering on commitments to hospital partners while delivering high-quality, compliant patient care. Develops and improves systems to monitor and improve anesthesia operations including costing, scheduling, and quality control. Plays a significant role in short and long-term planning, including initiatives geared toward operational excellence and efficiencies.
Owns the process for servicing current hospital contracts, including correspondence, follow up, and feedback with hospital administration on a regular and on-going basis.
Responsible for reporting and analyzing operational information and communicating results with potential corrective measures to management on a regular basis.
Work closely with CEO, CMO and VPs of Operations to achieve targeted outcomes for hospital partners and internal expectations. The Chief Operations Officer will focus on the following responsibilities:
Driving organizational capability by building a highly committed and capable management team; coaching and mentoring incumbents and recruiting and developing additional talent as needed. Provide teammates with the authority, accountability, training, information and resources to achieve their full potential in running their individual multi-million dollar profit centers.
Fostering an environment which stimulates high energy, fast-paced change, open communication, creativity, and engenders a team spirit in solving problems and identifying and/or capturing new business opportunities.
Serving as the spokesperson and senior executive presence in operations, both internally within the organization, as well as with external constituencies, including the anesthesia community and other key referral sources at the market level.
Working closely with NorthStar’s Business Development Team and other senior executives to identify and pull through of acquisitions and joint venture partnerships on a market, regional, and national basis.

Bachelor’s degree is required.
Master’s degree in business and/or healthcare administration is preferred.
Ten or more years of operational, financial, business development, and general management experience with increasing scope of responsibility.
