Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of Epic training programs within the Epic application. Assist in developing and maintaining training materials as well as delivering training through the mediums deemed appropriate by management and/or senior staff (e.g. classroom, one-on-one). Administer proficiency assessments and evaluation processes to determine compliance and understanding by participants. Collaborate with other members of project and training team to assist in developing and maintaining the training program.
Education and Licensure Required:
High School Diploma/GED
Epic credentialing required
One (1) year experience developing training programs in an academic medical center setting using adult learning theory
Experience with Epic Ambulatory/Inpatient end-user training delivery at 2-3 implementation sites prior to go-live
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated training delivery experience and ability across EPIC applications and/or EMR systems
Excellent customer service skills
Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills in managing multiple priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Knowledge of technical instructional design techniques for instructor-led and individual on-the-job learning and related software applications
Assist in developing and implementing training programs and materials to support users of Epic applications and clinical information systems.
Review, understand and interpret clinical and non-clinical workflows, processes, and terminology in order to translate information into educationally sound training content.
Identify opportunities for process improvement in support of Epic training initiatives.
Responsible for managing classroom logistics, including set-up, materials, supplies, and equipment prior to conducting Epic training classes.
Communicate training environment issues or curriculum updates to Principal Trainers to ensure updates/changes are made timely and continue to meet end-user needs.
Analyze system reports to ensure training is accomplishing desired objectives, and make recommendations for improvement.
Maintain knowledge and stay updated on Epic system changes and enhancements.
Review new application enhancements/upgrades and assist with development of implementation and rollout plans to impacted departments and users.
Participate in the Credentialed Trainer Program and maintain credentialing in assigned Epic application module.
Additional duties as assigned.
